EN AW-6082 (AlSi1MgMn) aluminium round bar
Aluminium round bars

EN AW-6082 (AlSi1MgMn) aluminium round bar

The most widely usable alloy grade, characterised by medium or slightly higher strength. It machines, welds and anodises well.

  • Higher strength – outstanding, stable values in T6 within the 6xxx series.
  • Good weldability – with AW 5xxx/6xxx wires; strength reduction in the HAZ is possible without post heat treatment.
  • Corrosion-resistant – also suitable for outdoor structures and industrial environments.
  • Excellent machinability – the alloy grade fundamentally used for turning/milling.
Field of use
  • Food industry
  • Machine and component manufacturing
  • Automotive industry
  • Rail vehicle manufacturing
