Cast and milled aluminium plates

EN AW-7021 (AlZn5,5Mg1,5) – cast, milled aluminium plate (precision tooling plate)

High-strength, cast and both-sides milled aluminium plate with excellent dimensional stability and a homogeneous structure. EN AW-7021 is ideal for tooling, jig and mechanical-engineering applications where high strength, low internal stress and excellent machinability matter.

  • High strength – one of the strongest cast alloys of the 7xxx series, with excellent mechanical properties.
  • Low internal stress – deformation during machining is reduced thanks to the casting process.
  • Good machinability – stable, homogeneous material; mills, drills and taps well.
  • Homogeneous, closed structure – low porosity, uniform microstructure even in large plate sizes.
